Description :
Blackberry / Leopard Lily is easily grown in average, medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun. Clumps slowly expand by creeping rhizomes. This Iris has deep orange flowers spotted with red dots, similar to a Tiger Lily, and sword-shaped, medium green leaves in flattened fans. Flowers give way to pear-shaped seed pods which split open when ripe (late summer), with each pod revealing a blackberry-looking seed cluster. Plants will easily self seed in optimum growing conditions.
