aka Pendant Amaranth, Tassel Flower, Velvet Flower, Foxtail Amaranth
About This Plant
Emerald Tassels Amaranth is a variety of the caudatus species of Amaranth which has been cultivated for its seed. It stands between 30-60 inches tall and has ropes of lime-green, trailing blooms. It adds a fantastic color and texture to gardens and bouquets. When dried, the blooms fade to a light tan color making it perfect in Fall arrangements. This Amaranth is often called “Love Lies Bleeding” due to its long tassels that can almost reach the ground. It can grow up to six feet tall and may require a sturdy stake to keep upright.
